City Light & Power is proud the utilities we operate at the following customer locations nationwide have been recognized for maintaining the highest levels of system reliability. Because of this accomplishment, these locations were awarded the American Public Power Association (APPA) Certificate of Excellence.
Accolades
The APPA is a trade association that annually recognizes utilities that rank among the highest in the nation for reliability. APPA benchmarks utilities' outage information against national statistics from the Energy Information Administration (EIA). Utilities that placed in the top quartile of reliability received the APPA Certificate of Excellence.
Each utility operating location that wins the Certificate of Excellence in Reliability, “has significantly exceeded the average for all U.S. electric utilities for reliable electric service. The utility participates in the American Public Power Association’s e-Reliability Tracker service to track outages and restoration against national benchmarks,” as stated on the certificate.
